Default Engine misfire on 3.2 v6

Hi guys need some help my vectra C GSi has just started playing up the Control indicator in the dashboard has just started flashing and feels like its only running on 5 cylinders and the symbol in the rev counter is on with the ignition switched on goes out when the engine starts.

The car only came back from the dealers yesterday to have the handbrake recall done ****** typical.

Any ideas what I can be, my wife is away on business so I cant get the dealer for a couple of day’s so I still need to use it .

Probably Coil Pack but could be a plug breakdown I guess

Also could be a sensor gone.

Best bet is to get it on Tech 2 and find out!

Snap, same problem and warning - not the cheapest part to replace

The coil pack on my 1.8 cost me near on £150!

The amount of money I've spent on the Vec over the years is pretty good though.

    1 x Coil Pack
    1 x Gearbox Repair
1 x Crankshaft Sensor (30k ago and the camshaft sensor hasn't gone yet!)
1 x Water Pump (Make sure you always get these changed when you do a cambelt - I figured it would be alright and was pretty lucky just to have to replace the nearly new cambelt and a new waterpump!)
1 x Unexplained Oil Leak that I'm trying to trace the cause of now!

Could be several things mate....from a bad spark plug to a electrical problem or something with the computer itself.
The only way to find out is to get the codes read.

You can get an ignition spark tester from the Wizards of NOS in Doncaster for a fiver. I used to to diagnose the coil pack on 2 Vectra B GSi's

Thanks Chaps I Have Booked The Car Into The Dealer For Friday Not Driven It Because I Was Worried About Damaging The Cat Etc.

I Will Let You Know What It Turns Out To Be, But The Coil Pack Sounds Favourite.

I Don’t Have Much Faith In The Dealer (motorbodies In Luton) The Car Never Idled That Well And They Couldn’t Find Any Problem And When I Had The Cambelt Done The Car Seemed A Little Sluggish Again Couldn’t Find A Problem.
