Just found a link to this site from the Vauxhall Owners Network and thought I'd join up.

I have a 2003 Vectra DTi saloon in metallic blue. I bought it as repairable salvage (or damaged repairable as we call them round these parts) last year. The previous owner had put it into a ditch whilst concentrating on a telephone call.

I bought the car for £1500 and spent approx £2500 getting it put back together. It needed a front bumper, bonnet, both wings and headlights and a new roof skin plus other miscellany but it's a good solid car and it already sported the SRI alloys. My mechanic/panel beater colour coded the handles, skirts etc to round out the finish and excelled himself.

Recently, I've been having starting problems but I'm leaving it in tomorrow to have the injector seals and leak off pipes replaced as the mechanic assures me this a common problem on the model for it's age/mileage. So fingers crossed.

Anyway, hello from me and I look forward to investigating the site.

Cheers guys - I'm on the office pc at the mo but I have a few photos of the car (at home) before the repair work started.
