Default Am I Being Overly Paranoid?

At the risk of sounding like a suspicious fool, is there an easy way to make sure parts have actually been changed?

The reason I ask is I had my DMF & clutch changed a few weeks ago but the symptoms that called for the new parts are still there. The only difference I can see is the bite point is much lower on the pedal. Now, I've only done about 100 miles since and have been taking it easy, as I was advised, but if I do give it some beans the initial problems are there again.

If I didn't know any better (actually, I don't, hence this thread) I'd swear they've not replaced anything & just bled some hydraulic fluid from the clutch.

So, are there any simple ways I can tell if the work has been carried out by having a look around the gearbox, etc. for tool marks, signs of new gaskets, disturbed dirt, etc?

best thing to do is you are supicous is to take it to another garage and ask them if any recent work has been carried out, atleast you got a expert second opinoin

Always ask for the replaced parts.
In my workshop experience the reception staff and the techs become suspicious and will make sure the job is done properly.

Either that or the clutch bearing is on its way this time. Clutch bearing and DMF flywheel symptoms are similar.

They may of mis-diagnosed a clutch bearing as a faulty DMF. Either way get back to the garage very quickly.
