Default Thinking of getting one of these

The brand new Asus Eee PC 900.

    http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/laptops/0,...9296523,00.htm

They have 2 OS systems to chose from one with windows " drasticly chopped" and 12gb and one with Linux with 20gb.
Only been out here in Taiwan for 2 weeks.
Very hard to get one in the UK as supplys are limited and stocks are gone very quick.
Around 350 quid in the UK on back order
    266 quid here.
Possibly the best thing since sliced bread

My advice. Save your money or get a proper laptop with better spec for near enough same price.

Depends what you want it for, as a main laptop or pc, yeah, save yer money and get a proper lappy with much better spec.
As an ultra portable, internet on the move kind of thing, there’s nothing better for the money. (though they are capable of a bit more than just a web browser and email)
I have the older version, think it is called the 700 series.
Anyway, mines a 4gb, which runs Linux, with internal mods with a 16gb stick inside it running XP, oh and the ram has been upped from 500mb to 1gb, great little machine, and the lower spec ones (like mine originally was) are great value.
I have it coupled with a mobile broadband modem, and it truly is internet anywhere, lol.

I allready have 2 laptops. One for work and one at home.
This thing is tiny and very light. And it's the latest must have
Nice and easy to watch films on it in the plane. Surf the web at airports etc. If i can get one of the techy guy's at work to put our work internet program on it it's even free surfing

Seriously looking at the 2133 myself, fed up of carting a 15.4" laptop about!

Misco have both the Linux and Vista 2133 in stock over here, just replace the supplied 1GB stick with 2GB and it should be very good.
