    Default Oh Ffs!!!!

After my Vecci Estate had been in with Vaux for two!!! weeks for a coolant leak I thought they would get it sussed.

Yesterday drove to Portsmouth from devon, parked up and small puddle started to form under the car.
This morning I have just driven it about 100m up the drive and its left a trail from start to finish, but no puddle at the start (Can't tell on the end as its on grass)

It looks / smells like water but I can't be sure. The coolant tank is still full though.

I do drive with the aircon on 24/7 so I thought this may have been it in Portsmouth, however I don't really know how it all works, and should it have dropped fluid from first thing?

Any help appreciated so I can call Vaux if needs be!!

Quick way to tell.. Is the water hot? It would be a funny colour/smell if coolant. The water the drops from the aircon exit is a condensation which builds up inside and flows out and drips down near the steering rack.

If you dab your finger in the liquid and "taste" it if it is antifreeze it will taste sweet. sounds like it might be the aircon condensation though.

as plasma says.. if the water smells of coolant ( dip you finger into it and smell it) then it's coolant.. if it's just plain water it'll be condensate from the AC system having dropped out of the cars drain..in which case it's normal

    Excellent thanks Gents!

I'm guessing its just condensation, just seemed like to much to be that!

Ive not known the AC leave a trail of water that long before, usually only a small puddle, or a small trail of about 18 inches if you move.

That sounds like quite alot of water?

Hmm I did have the A/C on for about 9 hrs yesterday with 3 of us in the car so it wouldn't surprise me.
Plus its dripping near the steering rack.

I'm 99% sure it isn't coolant as the expansion tank is full, was more wondering if the monkeys had punctured anything else!
