    Remember to tell your insurance.

IMHO they are a gimmick that I really cannot see any value in.

Ah! unless you are in a line of work that may see ignition triggered bombs planted in your car!!!!!! Picked this up from a tv show I watched last night.

But yeah no real advantage I can think of other than its cool?! and you can warm the car on cold mornings from a distance.

Well, yes I have remote start on mine, and yes it is regularly used. But to be honest, it was an included option on the top end Clifford alarm I brought, and it seemed silly not to take advantage of it, I didn't buy the alarm for this feature. (it’s well worth having though, but this obviously depends on your personal circumstances)

Anyway, I can assure you that you will not find a company, or fitter in the country who would be willing to go to the lengths I did to get it working, they just wouldn't take the risk.
Unless you are capable, at least, of fitting an alarm yourself, you'll have no chance.
As for the reliability of that system, I have no idea, I’ve never heard of them before.
The only way I expect remote start will ever happen on more modern cars with canbus wiring, like the Vec C, is when the aftermarket companies eventually release canbus compatible alarms, which they are still working on, but until then it’s not likely to happen.

Also be aware that it is illegal to leave a unattended vehicle running in the street (the public road) - you can only use this if if you have a drive.

Personally, I am waiting until I can buy a watch that allows two way communication between me and the car and when I am in danger it comes to pick me up or if required will eject a person out of the car via the roof.

Quite recently I have also been stocking up on large volumes of perm solution from ebay and even a pair of orange swimming trunks complete with life float.

Where is the future that the 80s promised ???

Also there are many illegal things that people do to their cars on here. Over tinting front windows, retro fitting HIDS without the auto levelling and washers, taking out cats etc etc. It wont stop anyone Can't imagine anyone ever getting pulled by the old bill on this one anyway

Apparently, when the knight foundation moved its HQ to the UK they could no longer afford to keep the lorry running due to fuel tax. A rival do gooder foundation with more dosh and a bigger lorry caused him to suffer from a severe case of truck envy, he hasnt been seen since 1987.
