    Default Loan Car Delivered

As above, they just dropped off a facelift 1.8 Club. ****** hell, they're basic for a £16k car!! Get the CDTi 150, and the ****** thing is £18k FFS.

How many of these do Vx think they'll sell to private owners? At these prices, not many that's for sure!!

Can't see em shifting as many SRI's now with the spec dropped on them. They have always been the biggest selling model.

Just out of interest, I thought I'd list what is missing versus my car, and my impressions after a 400 mile round trip today. I know it's not really fair to compare it to an Elite, but the lisy of stuff is pretty long when you start looking.

As to the drive, the steering is far "edgier" than my car, the car rides a little firmer but it is far noisier in the cabin. Seems as if some sound deadening has been left out.

I wouldn't want to have to drive on on a regular basis.
Now for the differing equipment. Deep breath...

No front fog lights, 16" wheels instead of 17", no heated mirrors, plastic steering wheel vs leather, NO seatbelt warning chime, no trip computer, single CD slot vs 4 disc changer, no autodip mirror, no ambient cab lighting, no leather, no heated seats, no electric sats, no electric memory door and interior mirrors, no coin holder by the light switch, less speakers, no boot unlock button (better), the cup holder design is blo0dy awful, no cigarette lighter, no map lights, no rear courtesey lights, no auto wipers, no sunvisor mirror lights, no climate control, single tone horn (dreadful!), manual rear windows, the cabin plastics felt cheaper and finally just the one switch on the passenger door for the window.

Other than that, it's very similar

I dont seem to get that seatbelt warning chime in my 2002 1.8 Club, but if i take my seatbelt off with the engine running, it just bleeps once.

To be honest, that's not the fairest of comparisons. Chalk and cheese those two cars.

When you take off the Elite Upgrades you're left with -

    NO seatbelt warning chime
no coin holder by the light switch
    no boot unlock button (better)
the cup holder design is blo0dy awful
    single tone horn (dreadful!)
    the cabin plastics felt cheaper

but I agree on the price.

That's what I said at the beginning. Interesting how much cheaper this one feels though.
