VIN & Engine Number Lacation on Vectra

Hi all,

Sorry I've not introduced myself yet but I've not got a vectra yet but am looking to buy one soon!

My question is, where can I find the vin number and the engine block number on a Vectra cdti please?

I've attached some pictures and would like some advice on where to look to make sure they match properly.

Also, I think I've highlighted the vin on one picture where the bonnet is but is that right?

I heard the Vectra has a visible Vin, where is that please? On the window or something?

What other signs of things should I look for when buying the car?

I tried doing a search on the forums for vin identification or vin location but couldn't find anything, sorry.

P.S. The pictures aren't of the car I'm buying but I used them for illustration purposes.

theres a vin number on the door pillar.........and if my memory serves me right there also suppose to be on the front screen passenger side

VIN plate is on the drivers B pillar and there is indeed a VIN strip on the dash on the passenger side, visible through the lower left of the windscreen

The next question about the B pillar is, should the vin number be printed on it, etched on it or do I have to peel anything back to see it?

Does it take some effort to see it or is it easily viewable?

Open the drivers door and u can't miss it. Black label, white writing

There's also another location of a VIN. On the drivers side floor, between the seat and the door sill, you'll see a little 'flap' in the carpet. Lift that up and you'll see a VIN stamped into the metal.
