Default Where to get a new filler cap?

Yes, you guessed, I drove off with the petrol filler cap still sitting on the roof, and I've no idea where it ended up. Can't find it anywhere!

So, what's the best solution for a replacement? Halfords?

Actually it seems fine without a cap, but I guess its dangerous in the event of accidents & fume leakage.

If it's a diesel you drive it's also bl88dy dangerous for motorcyclists as well, dumped diesel on corners is a deathtrap. Get it replaced ASAP.

Try LMF, they should have them . The filler neck now has a flap in it to prevent the fuel splashing out so it isn`t as bad as it used to be with no cap ...

I know what you mean about diesel though, roundabouts are the worst !!!

I can't imagine them being that much from Vx bud. Have you had a price from them yet?

Some replacement caps are junk, get a Vx one! Don't you use the little holder on the flap?

You shouldn't need to put it on your roof whilst filling the tank. If you look inside your fuel flap, there's a little clip thingie to hold the filler cap whilst you're fueling.
You can't shut the flap with the cap on the clip....so it's impossible to forget to replace it.

Little holder on the flap? Didn't know there was one! I'll look for that when I go home tonight.

By the way, its a petrol car and there was no leakage, even when the tank was full. For now I've got a temp cap but I'll get a Vx one ASAP.

Got a new cap from Vx this afternoon. £9.99 inc VAT.

Also found the clip on the filler flap, and hey, what a good idea! Wondered what that was for!

By the cap holder there should be a gray thing. that is to enable you to get the tyre valve cap off, has anyone noticed that too.
