    Default any green fingered members?

    Hi all,

I'm after a bit of gardening advice. I'm looking for some potted trees around 5/6ft tall and quite bushy - something like a connifer for example. (i don't really have a clue )

    Any suggestions?

    further info...............

We recently moved house and the neighbours are doing our heads in a little (well more their kids really).

Now i don't mind hearing kids playing etc... and we've kids of our own too but what the neighbours kids have taken to doing is hanging over the fence where it's low (c3ft) and shouting my kids - only to play etc... but when you're a having a beer and chilling after work it's a bit much. We like our privacy in our own garden.

Now we've only been here a few weeks so i don't wanna start havin a go at the neighbour or the kids and can't change the fence panel as we're renting.

So what i thought i'd do is pop 3 or 4 of these trees in pots along that section, stop the kids then everyone's happy.

    What d'ya reckon??

    Nick

If you can get a trellis on top of the fence to add say another three feet I'd go for an Ivy. Something like Hedera Colchica Sulphur Heart (or Paddys pride as it's more commonly known as.)

Grows like it's been remapped and if you train it back and forth on the trellis it does makes a great sound barrier.

(BTW this is the only plant I know the name of in the garden mainly because it's the only one I've not killed within 2 days of planting it)
