Default Chrome Window Strip on 120

I have been looking curiously at this for the last few weeks, and think that I have finally confirmed my suspicions.

Dont know if anyone else has noticed this, but I have on every 120 now.

On the 150 CDTI SRI, the strips at the edge of the door windows has a chrome strip going through them and on the 120 iCDTI SRI, it doesnt.

Strange. When I first saw it, I thought it was due to a repair or something, but then I have been looking at other 120' and 150's over the last few weeks, and every time I see a 120 SRI CDTI, the windows strips have no chrome in them.

Saw an identical one to mine earlier today (120), and said to my mate thats a 120bhp, he goes how do you know, I said I just do, when I went to the rear, it was a silver CDTI.

Anyone else noticed this? I checked on Autotrader too, and images of the 120's all have no chrome strip. WEIRD!

Ha ha, Chrome "go faster" strips on the 150, gives it the extra 30bhp.

Trust me mate, it drove me insane when I first noticed. It is a very weird thing to do, but I must admit, up until now, I have only noticed on the pre-facelift!

Even the 2.2 SRI DTI had the chromes on them.

Here was me thinking it were just the SRI 120's that were excused from having them. Its strange if they pick and choose, I used to thionk they were standard on the SRI, until I bought this one. Very tru about examination, I seem to have that prioblem too!

Heres a few to check against:
    120-no chrome: http://www.tsc-used-car-supermarket....es/1473733.jpg
    120-no chrome: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk...=&max_mileage=
    120-no chomre: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk...=&max_mileage=
    *150*-no chrome : http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk...=&max_mileage=

    Sorry m8, totally wrong!!!

There was a gradual removal of most "extra's" from 2004 onwards. The chrome strips are on some and not others regardless of engine or model. My old CDTi 150 (2005 on '54 plate) did not have them either. Vx removed several other things like the door lights, sill strips, cupboard under the headlight switch, centre headrest in the back and lots of other items that were standard on even the LS models on earlier cars
