    Default Interim Oil change!

My car isn't due for a service but I was thinking of getting an interim oil change done. Knowing that mine is one of the most expensive cars in the VX range to service I thought I'd phone round for a few prices just for an oil and filter change.

So if I do it myself its 7 or so litres of 5-30w or 10-40 @£30 for 4 litres plus the filter at £40 - ****** Izuzu!!!!

So I call Kwikfit in town and ask for a price, I wouldn't normally trust them with anything but if I watch them, what can they get wrong? I'll check the oil going in to make sure its the right type etc........ The price I hear you ask? £45 and a few pennies! I think they may well be doing it next week! I don't think they have researched that very well do you

I was going to leave mine go to the full 2 year interval, but at that price I may as well have it done now.

not sure, I called them and asked for a price for an oil and filter change, he asked what car, engine size etc. Off he went, he came back and told me the price and to just drop in when ever, so next week I'll do just that and see what happens. A supervised oil change is all I would trust them to do! But at that price - as long as its correct - its not worth getting my hands dirty.

i get my 2.2 oil change done at ATS for £29.99 (shell helix 10/40w),every six months or around 5k for me.
£60 a year for oil changes and dont have to get my hands dirty, no brainer really.

not bad Mac12... but i thought you had to used 5w30..? albeit VX did advise after 3 years they revert back to 10/40 semi, when the warranty is over.. assume this is a profit issue for them.
have you noticed any difference? how many miles has yours done?
