Is this for a second "major" service ?
I had mine done at midpoint in Cheshire and they charged me 150 including VAT. I know it's 250ish miles away from you but maybe you are up this way sometime soon.

I thought that coolant requires changing every 4 years.
And I'm pretty sure my local dealer does a brake fluid change for around £25.
Worth ringing around and getting a few quotes.

Save some money, drain the bottom rad hose and pre-mix some new anti freeze, fill it back up and run the air out of it, brake fluid I find is a con, it's a cover yer back issue tbh, if it's clean it should be ok, if there's any water in it you will feel it at the pedal.

Just looked Rob, yours is a 2002 model, scrub the service, I used to service mine myself for £50 using all GM stuff on the trade card, this was...

1 - 5 litres of 10/40
2 - Oil Filter
3 - Oil Flush
4 - Oil Reconditioner
5 - Diesel Filter
6 - Pollen Filter
7 - Air Filter
8 - Fuel Treatment
9 - Sump plug Ring

Now look at what they will do for 5x

Service history is not important at the cars age, I reckon if you ask the right person here to get the bits you can do the lot for £60 and have £290 in your pocket.

Rob, if ya want, i can help you do a service, not a big job at all, brakes will be no problem too. Coolant you just need to check you have the right amount of antifreeze mixture in it then job done.. Lemme know mate, we could do it one weekend.
