Default While the roof lining is down

    Hi all,

Having read all of the How 2's on getting the roof lining down I have decided I am only going to do it the once in order to fit the new aerial.

So while it's down I am thinking I should make the most of it and fit any future wiring I might need.

This afternoon I have had the Front light down and found to my surprise I have the rain sensor wiring already (or at least that's what the writing on the flex claims it to be, lol)

The Car has illuminated Vanity mirors and the rear light already So I am thinking I can only add the following

    1. Auto Dim Mirror Harness
    2. Park Pilot Beeper
    3. Microphone for Phone system

Or is there something else I should add to the list??

Am happy to put wires in now and decide later if I want to use them or not (probably will)

    Cheers

    Paul

It may or may not have the wiring for bluetooth. Do you have another ribbon up there that says microphon or something similar? If not then that means another roof loom (unless we can find a way to wire up the mic without it)

lofty, haven't been brave enough to poke around any further as yet, there is definitely another ribbon cable visible but think it goes to the drivers side vanity mirror.

I need to get the headlining down to be sure whats there.

I can live without the car for a few days once the lining is down so assuming all of these "wires" are stock items I should be okay. If it's a 2 week sketch on any of them then I might run into problems as I can't use my other car for work.

    hi lofty,

I received the Satnav antenna wiring loom in the post this morning and it contains the three expected aerial wires and as a bonus a 2 pin connector that appears to be the Mcrophone wire

Part Number is 13126530, not sure on price as can't get hold of parts department.

The loom plugs into the AMP connector block on the drivers side footwell as pointed out by Hans yesterday. Challenge now is to work out whether I have the wires from here to the area behind the stereo and if not what needs adding.

Paul, the connector for the bluetooth mic should be on the roof loom and not the sat nav antenna loom. Not sure what the extra connector is on that.

if you want the extra harnesses for bluetooth, auto dim mirror, rain sensor
park pilot rear speaker etc and ya car is either a vectra hatch, saloon or
signum then the roof looms are the same which is part numbers -

    complete roof loom p/no 13174247
auto dim mirror harness p/no 24450051

you can also check these part numbers to the ones on your existing loom
by looking on the ribbon were it goes into the rear rec.

    Hi andy, lofty,

more than a litle confused as somebody previously identified a very similar looking plug as being the Bluetooth mic job.

The Roof loom I have is 13174251 any idea what this has attached to it?? I tried to ask local part dept but they seem to be bordering on useless.

Does the complete roof Loom include absolutely everything i.e. rear light, vanity mirrors etc etc. If it does then I will probably go with that and be done with it for the extra 20 quid over the auto dim harness.

    Cheers

the roof harness part number as above includes as follows

    complete roof harness -

    both illuminated sun visors
    front interior roof lamp assy
    rain sensor/auto lighting
    bluetooth microfone
    rear park pilot speaker
    rear roof couresy lamp

then the other part number is a seperate harness all together
for just the auto dim mirror.

if you have an estae vectra then these are the part numbers you will need to
    get the extras like above.

    complete roof harness p/no 13112880
auto dim mirror harness p/no 24455219

hope all this answers everyones questions
