Default What does this connector do?

    Hi all,

Can someone tell me what the two connectors in the attached photo do??

I found them when i removed the glovebox. They are located in the left hand corner, taped to another loom.

Car is a RHD 08 1.8 Exclusiv (cheapo spec).

The larger connector is an 18 way job with some kind of latching cover and the other is an SMA Jobbie again with latching cover.

    Ideas??

    Many thanks in advance

    Paul

Looks like the connector to fit an after market hands free phone kit.

    Hi Gary,

thanks for the reply, by aftermarket do you mean the likes of parrot etc or do you mean the vauxhall bluetooth jobbie??

Assuming the SMA is an aerial lead where does it go? is it shared with the Radio aerial or is it embeded in the screen or something.

    Cheers

    Paul

It is the aftermarket fixed phone system not the bluetooth variety which is factory fit only and the looms are only included if it is fitted at the factory. It will connect to the cradle you buy the old fashioned type you often see in fleet cars.
