    Default Air Con STINKS!!!!!!!

Hi people, as its been a scorcher of a weekend and the last week or so, I have had to use the air-con.

However, although it blows loverly cool air, it stinks, sorry no, in fact it reeks, almost like cow poo.

Any ideas what this could be, does it simply need a re-gas or does it need a soemthing more?

    Thanks.

    Bye bye Vec B

Plus it could be caused by a build up of bacteria in the aircon evaperator. You can get aircon cleaner "bug bomb" type things that you let off in the car and it kills the bacteria that gives that nasty smell.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Would this eliminate the smell for all future uses of the air-con? It really is bad, its like a bleeding stink bomb.

Yes it should do, think they are about a tenner from a motor factors. It should last you this year at least. It all depends on how much you use the AC really. The pollen filter may be covered in the service, they are changed every other time I think. Best call the person doing the service for you
