    its in the pump...why what is the car doing ?..and what codes you got init ? ..

    all we're getting benny is the code for 'negative throttle deviation' when it stalls.. no other codes present.

    It only does it occasionally when it's hot..never in the first 5 -10 miles..which makes me think sensor and i've done dti's in the past which present as the same fault and they all came back to the cam sensor in the pump.. the fault presents as a surging at idle of 500 rpm above and below nautral idle before it stalls as it's unable to maintain an idling RPM..

    all boost hoses checked for splits and security ( no leaks) all vacumn hoses and lines are fine. no other faults on the vehicle either visible or stored in historic.

    It has been in for 'limp home' before, but that was down to the boost sensor being coated in oil sludge ( car has done 97K ).. sensor done and it's never faulted again..

    it sounds like the throtle body to me we get this loads..the sensor on the back of the throlte valve (old type tps).on the body gets smegged and it plays the 5 volt referance feed up wich in turn gives the car loads a other faults...plus it has no feed back referance the ecu will move the flap during normal driveing if out of range can close it fully stopping the engine or restricting the air intake and the ecu doesnt know it is doing it ... ....

    i'll take a look at this for Alan this week then.... cheers Benny....the only thing that slightly worries me is the total abscence of other faults with the car..But as the Boost sensor has been heavily smegged up in the past it's one i'm happy to follow..

    the throtle body tps sensor is sealed ..the way you can check it is to disconect the vac pipe to the throtle valve block the vac pipe then test drive it and see if it cuts out ...you may get other codes and problems but you will know they are faulty due to the pipe beeing disonected...
