Default Hard wiring nokia car kit

I have a nokia car kit installed, but it has its own speaker and is not connected to mute my CD70 Nav.

Reading through all the other threads it looks as if it should be possible to connect it through the head unit.

    Some questions I have are

is it okay to connect my speaker to pins 40 and 34 or do I need some form of filter/transformer lead

if my car has the ved? socket near the glovebox could I connect there as the cables to the head unit are very short. what colour wires would I be looking for.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

not sure on that will try to have a look into it, mr Loom would be best answer on it, but i do have some information about the shortness of the cable as you discovered.. If you cant get the CD70 out enough its because of the cables leading to the display.. Pop the silver trim off which runs along the dash.. Remove the 4 screws holding the heater vents/display in place.. pull them towards you.. disconnect 2 multiplugs on back of display then the head unit can slide right out..

Lets see what i can dig up on the CD70, what type of Nokia Kit is it Darren?

If you have the VED plug you can connect the Nokia kit to it (I've done it with my CK-15W kit).

If you have not got it you can make a small loom to attach to the quadlock (you may be able to find the small pins needed on a cheap loom from Halfords), the pin layout should be noted on the sticker on the top of the unit.

I'm sure I've seen a thread on here detailing it.

EDIT: Forgot to say that I had an Autoleads VED lead that I chopped and connected to the loom on the CK-15W.
