Default One for the detailing gurus.

I've volunteered to help Andy Prep. his car for the TV photoshoot coming up shortly.

The car was professionally detailed not long ago and is basking under a coat of Natty Red at the moment.

As the car is swirl free and the paint is really smooth I was thinking of just a glaze and then a top up Natty Red along with the dressing tyres, arches and trim etc. obviously.

Seems a bit light though for such a big event but can't see the need to clay it again and start from scratch ()

The inside needs zero doing to it other than hoovering.

    Thoughts?

i think you're spot on, it's just been fully detailed so the body work won't need much work, another coat of wax and it'll be gleaming!

i'd spend the time on the wheels, giving them a coat of wax, and then making sure that the brake callipers and under arches are spotless. and ofcourse the exhausts, gotta be mirror-like for a shoot

I would seal and wax the wheels. I use CG Bare bones for dressing under the wheel arches. I would put a coat of sealent.( I am trying out Jetseal 109 at the moment) then a coat or two of wax on the paint work.

Will be using ASD for the arches Ed. and I've gone off using sealent now. Just a pre wax Glaze and then the wax.

What do you use to seal and wax the wheels with ? That is an area I need to buy something for.

I use Poorbouys wheel sealent and a wax called "wheel wax" daft name I know. Both products are quite good. But don,t expect them to last too long as the heat from the brakes seems to give it a short life span, I would say on mine about 4 weeks. so I would do the wheels as near to the photo shoot as possible.

Cheers Ed. We'll be doing the car two days before. Andy's gonna garage it inbetween.
