    Default I think they're taking the ****...

...car (04 3.0 tractor estate) left in today to a local indy, for MOT check and a look at a few other niggling problems.

I'm picking it up tomorrow morning and have a fair idea how much I will be charged.

Before i disclose the final bill tomorrow, if anyone can pass on their cost experiences for the following, it would be much appreciated.

    List of work includes:

2 Rear Springs - Supplied and fitted
Front Brake pads - Supplied and fitted
Rear Brake Pads - Supplied and fitted
Brake Wear Sensor - Supplied and fitted
2 Rear Tyres (17") - Supplied and fitted
    MOT Check
Diagnostic Check (Reset of Glow Plug Circuit Error Code)

....just wanting a rough idea of what you guys have been charged for this kind of stuff in the past!

800? You sure? Its not in the dealer btw.
I was thinking that half that (as estimated late this afternoon) was a bit on the steep side!

maybe not as far off the mark as I had imagined

    LOL

In the past dealer has cost me £165 each for 215/50/17 NCT5's and 200 quid for all brake pads, so that's how I got to my figure being 530 just for that lot alone !

Ok, got the motor back and have to say, all problems seem to be sorted (bar the glow pug circuit, but that will wait till I have difficulty in starting etc.)
    Work carried out:
    Brake, Light & Suspension test - £25.54
Rear Coil Springs supplied & fitted - £136.20
Brake Pads (Front) supplied & fitted - £51.06
Brake Pads (Rear) supplied & fitted - £51.06
    Headlight Alignment - £8.50
    Steamwash (MOT Prep) - £8.50
    Computer Diagnostic - £17.00
    SUBTOTAL - £350 inc. VAT

    2off rear tyres (infinity 215/50/17) - Fitted & Balanced - £120 inc. VAT

So all in, total spend = £470

Not too bad, but still a fair od slap on the pocket that I could have done wiithout!
