Changing Injectors???

Right first of all should I even attempt to do this myself or is it a job for a mechanic? Can't get home so I might have to pay somewhere, but I want to avoid that at all costs obviously.

Is it difficult? Is there any precautions that need to be done? Any dangers etc?

It's a very good guide for how to do it..I did it slightly differently when we swapped the injectors when I fitted Duncan's stage 3 kit..the salient points carry over thou... just be prepared to loose coolant, undo loads of tiny torx fixings and have a spill of fuel..

to depressurise the fuel rail, wait about 30 mins after running the car to let the pressure leech out of the rail..

follow that PDF in the link, but a couple of points.. make sure all the injectors line up with the rail when you put them back in..if you nick an O ring you've gotta change it.. there are locking tabs on the injector harness's plugs that you have to release before you can remove them.. not easy to see and hard to get to..

work slowly, and be paitent.. it is doable 'at home' if you take your time
