Default Slight grinding through Steering wheel.?

    hi ya Peeps...

Wonder if you could shed any light light on this little issue..?

I have an 57 5k veccy Sri estate 1.9 CDTI..
When you drive around you can feel thorugh the steering some slight, feels like grinding or tiny vibrations, its only 8months old, often in a straight line on a smooth road it all but disappears, but if you begin to turn the wheel, it comne backs and fades out, turning either way.. any ideas?

Tyres are correctly inflated, and tyres are in good shape, no uneven wearing. brake discs are nice and clean, no score's, albeit the inner disc is slighly more worn than the outer disc on both front discs. having only had this motor for a month or so, its always done it from stealer. just that on my works van and other car (both diesel) neither do ot at all.

And advise... ??? do i sense a trip to VX...?

    or am i goning...

As it's the inner side of both discs, would this thread help? http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=47880

On the photo, it's the bit outlined in red. And to anyone who notices, yes, the car is supported on the scissor jack but I wasn't under the car

that is the lower balljoint dust sheild.. if it's rubbing the disc then it'll make the noise..always worth a check it's clearly off the disc.

    Peeps, sorry to re-incarnate this..

after many months with the grinding through the steering it went in VX today!, the best way to explain it it that your holding onto a grinder (running) its that type of feedback through the steering. Very annoying on long runs. Not to mention the road noise, i know its an estate... but wow! got to be the loudest car ever driven.

Anyways.. VX say its a loose AC pipe...??? i think they are blagging me and also the second fault it went in for was difficulty in selecting 2nd gear only when cold.. VX advise No fault found... It appears that anyone other than VX can have the issue!
As the warranty draws to a close, i thought i better get these done.

So has anyone else had a similar issues?

    thanks in advance

Is this something that a VX tech could diagnose?
