Default Handbrake failed after recall work

Had the recall work done yesterday, today the wife was in town and she went to put the handbrake on and it went dead, she got home and then the button fell off, just got back from the dealers who fitted another new spring, they could'nt explain what had happened but they saw the handbrake clearly not working

I took a video of it

He showed be the spring location and checked it was fitted correctly before he fitted a new one, maybe the new one is putting too much pressure on the button somehow, it was literely 2 minutes to fit the spring

Thats a different type of failure to the known one. I think a monkey fitting a spring incorrectly would explain that one......
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
