    Default New Tyres

Hi all don't know if this helps anyone. Took my june 2005 Vectra SRI to VX dealer on friday for a warning light check. They informed me that my vehicle was subject to a recall as Vx had found that some tyres on that particular model have worn unevenly. therefore all tryes will be replaced under warranty. Might be worth checking if your car is of simialar age and has not been recalled.

I had Bridgestones on my 05 SRi, when it was in VX last they told me my NSR tyre was illegal.

When we had company cars our company refused to let VX change the tyres, so with this in mind I took it to my little local place and they said the NSR had 5mm of tread left on it, but the fronts were close to illegal which VX never even mentioned.

I would always get an independant check from A.N.other if VX comment on tyres.

    Cheers

i phoned VX customer care today about this and they say that their is a problem with some goodyear eagle nct5 tyres but they couldnt tell me if mine was one of them.

They said get in contact with your dealer and they will check them for you to see if you are affected by this, roll on saturday as mines is in for a service.
