    confused Tiling.....

Been doing the bathroom for the last few days, just got the last few to cut before I can start grouting. Typically, the few that I've left to last are going to be the awkward ones, the ones with funny shaped cutouts.

I haven't got an electric tile cutter, I've been making do with an old 'score & snap' one. In the garage, I've got a 5" angle grinder - would I be able to use this or will the tiles just shatter?

I know I should use a tile saw but it looks like a lot of cutting and I'm lazy....

    TIA

    Use a tile saw.

It'll take a while, but if you don't, you'll always see where you rushed or (ahem) cut corners.

id personally use a tile saw paul as it will make a better job and will be much safer than a grinder,i think you can get tile cutting machines in likes of b@q for about £25

I used a grinder once to cut a tile. I used a metal cutting disc, and the disc lasted for...

They do Plasplugs ones which will do the job nicely and not be too harsh on the wallet. Had one for a while and it makes life much easier.

Stick a diamond disc/blade in your 5" grinder - you'll wonder how you tiled the rest of the bathroom without it! Just finished the bathroom myself and she already has the tiles for the kitchen sitting there!!
