Default Heated Seats - Yes or No?

    Help me decide!!!

When the new car arrives, the leather will be done inside, now, do I have the heated seats done or not bother. The downside is the cost.

    Looms :- £70 Each
Switches :- £45 for the pair
Mats :- Approx £120 for all four

Thats £300 approx to do the seats. I am not sure whether to bother to be honest.

    What do you think?

It is expensive for a hot bot - but I'd say with leather it's a very nice feature.

I was never a fan of heated seats in the past. When I had been in other peoples cars with heated seats (cloth seats) I tried them and never liked them. Never bothered me that none of my previous cars didn't have them.

This is my first car with leather seats, and the heated seats have been most welcome in the winter. Just having it on the first (and sometimes second) click just makes for a more comfortable bum and lower back when it's brass monkeys!!

My wife loves them!! She has them on the third or fourth click!! I think any one who has them on the fifth or sixth click is a masochist!!! I tried it once.... is all I can say!

P.S. Paul (Leeds Vectra) did this. You may wish to read his post on it (you'll have to have a search) as he had a bit of hassle doing it all - looms I think were biggest a**e ache.

I had a chat with Paul on Friday evening. The biggest head ache for him was the fact he had to remove the seat covers.

I don't have this problem as the covers will be coming off for the leather trim.

So long as you can afford it Matt, I'd say go for it.

Having sitted in a car with heated seats (as I'm sure you have), given the choice I would always say yes.
