Stop being polite Rich, it's a barge, the old equivilent of a Kia SRi nothing that company made was worth a mention, total ****3, I know cos I had to drive a Solara for 11 mths back in 86, the most sewing machine engine I ever encountered, and a gear shift like a spoon in a witches couldren, I was a Ford man back then, tight box, plenty of go and image, or to sum it up, whatcha want, that Talbot or an RS2000?

Got to side with you VV, i had a mk2 RS 2000 and a mate had a Lotus sunbeam (which he lost his licence in doing 100+ in a 30 zone!) and the Escort drove a hell of a lot better and was more reliable (just) both sounded beautiful snorting through twin webers and Janspeed exhausts ! Great days.
Have a look what an RS 2000 fetches on Fleabay......
Mk 2 about £6k+ for a good one,
Mk 1 about £15k. Staggering.
