    Default Rear suspension, DIY check

I've changed new 225/45/17 tyres recently (had 215/50/17 before). Now the car seems to be more unstable in the motorway, and I'm going to 4-wheel alignment.

But before that, I'd like to check the rear suspension arms and bushes. Any advice how to do a proper check?

Sounds like your trackings well out fella, especially if you didn't have the problem before the tyre change.
If anything unstability through suspension faults, would be felt far more on B roads than on straight line motorway driving.
If your feeling little tail kicks into the corners, could be your rears going, but i'll plum for the tracking

Cheers! Definitely I'm going to get the tracking checked, but I'd like to check the suspension before the alignment because the rear parts are all original, 50000 miles old...

to properly check the top arm bushes, raise the car and rock the wheel at 12 and 6 oclock.. if it moves the top arm bushes are worn.. if the tracking bushes are worn it will move at 3and 9 oclock..
