Pin it up, if you support the Police or not, me I come from a long line of em, although I've never been a cop myself, there's never been a more important time to support them than now, the rule makers have made them less efficient, the lawyers always seem to get a small fault to dismiss a case, unless ppl tell these l;adies and gentleman we appreciate their efforts things will get worse, don't consider traffic cops, consider the guy you run to when it all goes wrong, and remember, if you don't know who did it, how is he supposed to if theres no evidence.

We simply don't have enough to cope with all the crime !
If all they are doing is hours of paperwork, then who's out there in the real world ? Answer is "Community police" ! 1 step up from the yellow striped parking vultures.
What's your average hoody gunna say if stopped by one of them ? They'll get the big "F" off will they not !
Simple answer is more proper plod on the streets. Let the scum know they're there, high profile !
    I do support them..........via my taxes !

Have consideration for the deaf, if you're gunna fart, make it smell !

i come from a long line of miners all our family was miners and in the days of the miners strike i saw things that u wouldn't belive a police officer would or could do in and out of uniform so over the years i grew up with a disliking of the police.

but i do agree the police are fighting a losing battle and need the support & money to do their job who said crime dosn't pay the lawers a making a killing.

I'm a copper (part time unpaid Special NOT PCSO) in Barnsley and as such I'm very pro-police. But it gets harder and harder every day, losing the respect (not that there is much round there for the police), increasing paperwork and so many hoops to jump through.

At the same time storys like this don't help and it is getting harder to report a crime these days. I don't think it's the average coppers fault I blame the Gov and the top brass

I'm a Traffic Cop and take some offence to that line. Do you know what I do or have done in the past. Do you know the level of crime I and my colleagues deal with. Obviously not.

You Traffic Cops are a sensitive bunch.

I think VV in his drunken state was trying to say that most average people only come into contact with the Police when they commit a traffic offence, thus influencing their perception of the Police. Police Officers in general all do a fantastic job however they are often let down by the politicians and the (ever increasing) minority of muppets who wear the same uniform.
