airbag cpu removal

hi, does anyone know how to remove the airbag cpu from my vectra? i can see it bolted to the car under the cupholders but i cant seem to budge the thing. any ideas?

right.. disconnect the battery and leave the car for 15 mins.
remove centre armrest assy from car..remove cupholder assy.
there are two connections.. both with swingaway retaining clips..not which one goes where..

..

it's held down with 3 nuts ( 10mm) and they are a git to get to..not where the earth wire tag goes as well.. remove old ECU and Install new ECU, following the notes on what goes where. note the advice on the ECU about which plug to connect first. refit cupholder/centre arm rest.

The Airbag ECU needs programming now..which either needs vauxcom or tech2..so it's off to a freindly dealer or local garage to get the job finally done and the light put out..

Do u need a new one as I have one available. Let me know your part number if you do and ident code (the two capital letters on the module)

My car was flood damaged when I took mine to have the air bag light reset they said I needed a new module.. :-(

have just taken mine out and its got DW on the sticker... would your spare work ? if it will how much do you want for it ?

a new unit is around £300 so take care when ordering..

btw i was planning on sending mine away to get recond, not sure if it will need tech 2'd when it comes back?

if you send yours away to get it reset ( if it will as they do suffer from board failure) then they may well wipe it..Worth a call to find that out first..
