Welcome to my world mate.....check my posts- 04 2.2 Sri Direct
I cannot shed any light at the mo,but I should be a bit more clued up as,one way or another, I will be calling the RAC out later on.
Mine was driving fine and went to start it 2 days later and nothing, then clicking, then nothing.Sounds similar
I know it may not be any help as you may want to get it moving quickly, but I tried a brand new battery and it didn't solve it,but I will be posting the outcome later. So far, reading posts on several forums, it appears there can be an issue with the battery, starter and starter solenoid. It could be one or all 3 of them.If all 3 have gone together on mine, I will be seeking some sort of contribution from Vauxhall as that is verging on ridiculous for a car with 50k (in my opinion).Lastly, one thing I have not attempted, is to bump start it.
John
I have just been and had a quick look tried to jump start it but the battery is not the problem, I will have another look later.
same with mine 2.2 sri petrol had some good advice from a mate it could be your sensors or on mine crankshaft sensor just ordered one £32+vat
could be camshaft sensor will let you know how i get on later
had a problem like this a while back. on mine it was the sim behind the steering wheel. it cost me about 400 quid to get it sorted. hope your problem isnt the same.
Had a good look at it earlier and the starter motor/solenoid has died so its going to need a new starter, nothing to major.
A anyone else had similar... did your lights still work?
