    Default Removing a dent ?

My car got hit by a stone flying out of the back of the lawn mower at work on friday. The guy that cuts the grass never owned up, but i found the stone sitting in the grass next to my car, on the stone is some paint from my car.

I have to get a quote to get the dent fixed as the firm i work for are going to pay for the damage.

Any ideas how much this is going to cost?

Is that metallic? Looks it. Gonna be expensive I think. Hundreds rather than tens of pounds?

Unlucky with that. Horrible place to get the dent too. Sick

Get straight on to the council, you have the stone you have the dent, persist and they will cave in and re-emburse you because the fact say you are telling the truth.

I doubt you will get anywhere with the council and as work is paying for it anyway I personally wouldn't bother.

I must learn to read it right through in future so if it's gonna be fixed and paid for anyway no point taking anymore action.

Councils are very reluctant to pay out and make it as difficult as possible. They need to see service history, V5, MOT, pictures, weather conditions and 2 quotes. They acknowledge your completed form but then take up to 3 months to reply.

I have tried to claim before for a pot hole and so has my friend. We both got know where despite plenty of evidence.

But if you leave your wheelie bin open a bit.........

On a previous car, i was hit by a low flying stone caused by the council strimming the verge in Letchworth and it broke the rear passenger door window. I stopped had a go at the bloke who bless him was very sorry, he gave me his bosses number, who when i rang up and explained what happened had auto glass there in 40 mins to replace the glass, mind you it did take a bit longer to have the door sprayed.
