i had the N80 and the N95, both are good with loads of stuff of the net for games and prog's... in hindsight chnaged to a K850i, never again.. im gonna stick with nokia... only issue, watch the keylock.. left it in my pocket with the gps on, and got a bill for a good few hundred quid.... surfed the net for hours... lesson learnt!

Have to say, i love my N95 1ST VERSION.Simply because you can insert and remove memory cards, currently using a 2gb memory card and it will go up to 4gb,and if your a real heavy user but don't want to delete stuuf, and are away from the pc so can't upload to make room, you can just insert another!
This seems to have been taken into account by Nokia who are re-establishing the Memory card slot in the N96,which I now can't wait for and will be released in the autumn.

The only things that are different is

slightly larger screen ( width and length )
    8 GB internal memory
built in ready to use sat nav ( subject to subscription of course )
sports tracker for running cycling etc ...... time , distance and route
If on an O2 contract you get the full ''spiderman 3 '' movie included

same 5 meg camera but no sliding cover !!! ( only bad thing about the whole phone !!! ) contradicting my previous post but hey ho !!!

I've had one for a couple of months. The software can be a bit slow loading pictures. Also when you take a picture it's a good few seconds until you can take another one. I also find that on O2 the black text on a blue background is really hard to read in daylight, especially with the clear plastic protective cover (which scratches really easily).

All in all a great phone and I'm glad I chose it.

As soon as i get the phone home,i usually delete and replace the operator software, using Nemisis.
Operator software is usually so hacked it wrecks the phones ability, even worse Nokia release an update fixing bugs, yet the operator takes it time hacking that too! With their logos and hot keys! And sometimes they don't update at all!
Using Nemesis allows you to prepare the phone to take the original Nokia updates through the updating software as they happen.
For instance the camera software speed increase is astonishing! GPS is also vastly improved,my N95 now also has Flashlite 3,enabling web pages to behave exactly as they do on your pc,i.e also enabling U TOOOBE videos to stream direclty from the main site, and not just a moblile version
Right now on your N95 (NOT 8GB) press *#0000#
Your software version should now be displayed,i'm currently running v21.0.0.16
    Dated 14.02.08.
Some of you may be no where near that version, and if you not,my phone placed next to yours would show you what i mean, there would be no comparison
Those of you who do have the update i'm sure will agree.
It keeps this phone right at the top of the tree.
Oh and before you ask, using Nemesis is perfectly legal! There's no IMEI shannanigans going on in my house!

Been using the N95 8gb since Jan & haven't had any problems but agree with everything that sparky71a. I'm on o2 & running v 11.0.026 firmware,, the same version that I useless standard N95 was on - I don't think Nolia even list that for the 8gb version.

sparky71a: which provider are you on? how does Nemesis work? is it just an installable prog? do you have a link - cheers
