Sound system query

Im looking at giving my mile muncher a new present, after getting her some new shoes

Have got the sat nav modle of radio in there an was wondering about adding a bass box or amp then a bass box to it, if at all possible?

Dont really wanna change the head unit as it works fine as it is and has the obc & sat nav all there for me, but the sounds are a bit....well....dull if you know what i mean?

Any help appreciated

You could try a sub with speaker level inputs or some speaker level to pre-out adaptors to run a traditional amp off the rear speakers.
