    Default dvd,windows,help.

    help is needed chaps ,two little problems realy, the first is the front driver window (electric)on my 03 plate vecy when you push up on the button it goes down you keep taping up and after a while it goes up.2 SECOND is iv just fitten a kenwood ddx5022 dvd sterio everything is fine apard from the dvd bit you the disc in and you get a blue screen that says PARKING OFF you can hear the dvd music through the speakers but cant see it any idears thanking youssssss.

    You have to connect a wire to the handbrake for it play when the car is parked up. Most people just earth the wire so it plays all the time, not legal by the way!

    I can help with the dvd!

    With all TV screen headunits, there will be a wire that should be linked to the handbrake switch. This is to stop people watching films etc while driving. Mine, I just put said wire to earth.

    run a wire from the parking wire(handbrake) on the stereo to a switch and the other side of the switch to an earth.that way when you park flick the switch and it thinks you have put on handbrake.Still illegal as above but works

    Contacts may need cleaning on the window switch, there is a post how to do it somewhere.....

    Whilst I agree its not a good idea, as far as I know the law over screens in cars refers to CRT screens not LCD's. Don't hold me to it.
