    Angry Water Pump

Has anyone experienced problems with the water pump on a V6 Turbo Diesel. Mine packed up at 62,000 and cost me the horrendous sum of £1030 to replace, 4 months out of warranty. OK Vauxhall contributed £200 towards the cost but for it to fail at such a low mileage is just not acceptable.

You have been ripped off big time Sorry. Water pumps are around £35-£50ish - £100 worst case.

Water pumps are usually checked when your timing belt needs replaced as a new belt typically puts the old pump under strain so £1,030 for a water pump - did they have to dig their way to Australia to get it? No, sorry if I were you I would be making serious enquiries very quickly.

Unfortunately it's an Isuzu engine and that means you think of a price and then times it by 30! LOL

It's the same story for all the other bits.Deffo an engine that you need to take out some sort of extended warranty on.

Can you give us a break down of the £1030, into parts and labour?
I would have thought it wouldn't be much more than a cambelt change, unless there are complications
