    Just a bit of advice here but you should never flat basecoat metallic.
    After you've applied the blue then all you need to do is lacquer directly over it without touching it to avoid scratches, oil from your hands etc.

    Otherwise, Caterman has given you some good advice. Hope this helps.

    Don't leave it overnight either before you lacquer. You want to be putting it on no more than an hour after the blue has gone on really, to ensure good adhesion.
