    Default Rusty Exhaust

Hi guys I need some help with this one! I noticed that my quad irmscher back boxes are just starting to show some signs of rust on the boxes and wondered if there was any way of stopping or at least delaying the corrosion process. I was thinking along the lines of brake caliper paint (silver) as it can handle the high temperatures that is likely to be on the boxes etc. Or would hammerite also suffice. Any feedback would be appreciated.

My experience over the years is that the welds nearly always give way first, way before the boxes become holed. IMO painting will add little life to your system

Im not 100% sure matey, but my MIJ exhaust has the lifetime guaruntee with it, so for the price of the irmy one id certainly expect one.

Depends - is the Irmscher exhaust stainless steel? If not, there's no way you'll get a guarantee on it. And how much of the exhaust is actually Irmscher? Is it just the boxes and tailpipes?

Hi Parapaul. The exhaust is stell pipes into steel box and the only part thats stainless is the 4 outlet pipes. I would not think that these would be life time warranty, but was hoping if nothing else. Thats why I thought that brake caliper paint would extend the life of the box and inlet pipes etc.
