Default Vectra C rear brake calipers

Are all vectra c rear calipers of the wind back type?

I'm about to purchase a tool you to do the job but I don't want to purchase the tool then take the caliper off and find I can simply push the piston back with my hands/clamp and the tool was not required for my type of caliper

Rears are wind back. They have to be due to the design and operation of the handbrake - it must be able to take up the 'slack' as the pads wear.

You don't actually need the tool.

I successfully did mine without one. Yes, the tool will make it easier, but for how many times I would use it I decided to improvise

I welded 2 pins onto the head of a large diameter short bolt to fit the caliper.

Then used a G clamp to apply closing pressure and a spanner on the bolt head. Careful turning of bolt and G clamp wound the piston in without issue.

Quicker than going to the tool factors for a tool, and then finding it doesn't actually fit Vectra's (Very common this problem), and certainly cheaper. Took less than 5 minutes to make, and cost nothing.
