You should still have you're 'no claims' but your premium has gone up due to the claims - always seems a bit of a con but that's insurance company's for you

    Hi there,

Direct Lines protected NCB scheme means that you will not suffer any loss of No Claims Discount if you make no more than:

    * One fault claim in a period of cover; or

    * Two fault claims in any three consecutive periods of cover

As you have had 2 fault accidents in the last term of cover you will have almost certainly lost some NCB.

Each insurance companies Protected NCB scheme varies from another companies, so it is always wise to read any prospectus or policy to familiarise yourself with the policy conditions.

As mentioned in the earlier reply, even if you had been fortunate enough not lost any of your NCB, your existing insurers could put a loading on your preimum due to 'adverse claims experience' (or however they decide to word it).

Either way, after your 'mis-haps' this last year, I think you may struggle to get your premium this year down to a level like you had last year. Only way you will find out is by shopping around. Good luck!!!!!
