    Default Place your bets now! Spanner light

    Here's the senario;

    06 CDTi (V6) which has done more than 25K

    Spanner light came on this morning and what I'm guessing is Limp Home mode (not much power).

    I'm not giving very good odds on the EGR valve!

    Going in for a TECH2 tomorrow morning.........

    Well, I didn't actually ask what code was logged, however, the did a re-gen of the particulate filter as suggested by TMS.

    Well, that didn't work.

    Light on and limp home again.

    Strange as it's happened twice and both on the M6 Toll. It was fine yesterday...... Then again, it only happened after leaving the Toll booth, so it was a bit flat out!

    Frustrating thing is, there are no courtesy cars available.....Grrrrrr.....

    I know how he feels! Although I only do once or twice a week and £4.50 is better than taking the M6 on

    EGR valve problems usually affect the running of the car in general.I had the same problem on my V6 and it turned out to be the boost sensor,they also changed the turbo because initially it was thought to be the problem...but it wasn't! LOL

    To be honest, the "limp home" mode does seem to be the turbo not spooling, so it may have something to do with the boost sensor.
