    Default Plasterer Required in Middlesbrough

Reet! I have finished plasterboarding the summer house and now it needs plastering. Is there anyone local that wants the job? I want it done cheap as its only going to be my office. Quick and dirty is good for me.

Why not have a go yourself, it's quite easy on plasterboard, bag of plaster 5.50, trowel 6.00 just need to follow a couple of rules

1 - Tape the joints with mesh tape
2 - PVA watered down 4-1 the whole lot
3 - PVA again but this time put the plaster on it when the PVA is tacky
4 - Push the plaster in an upward motion from the floor upwards on to the walls with your knuckles facing the roof, this helps lay it evenly
5 - Flatten it out with bit of long straight wood
6 - Smooth it out once levelled
7 - Let it go semi hard and then apply some water to it and trowel out
8 - Repeat this 2-3 times until you are happy with the surface
9 - Finally push the plaster down hard, this helps get the glass effect.

Thanks VV, I am tempted to try but not sure how it would turn out. If I dont find a cheap plasterer then I might give it a shot.

couple of tips. if your plastering onto plasterboard you dont pva. dont use wood to level as it will "tear" the finish, leaving it almost imposible to finish. apply the plaster in two thin coats rather than one thick, one coat directly ontop of the other while still wet. if you do get too good a finish on the plaster when you come to paint it you will find it wont stick, and it will need a quick rub down with sandpaper to key.good luck
