Default Some advice needed before I start plz

I’m hoping to clean and polish the car in the next week and I’m just checking …it’s in the right order any advice would be great . As I have a Star Silver Car do you think I should add a glaze also I have heard that megs stage 3 wax does not last that long !.. would I be better off replacing stage 3 with another product.

    ( By Hand )

1: Meguiars Gold Class Bug N Tar Remover
    2: Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner
3: Megs Smooth Surface Clay Kit
    4: Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner
5: Megs Deep Crystal Step 1 – Cleaner
6: Megs Deep Crystal Step 2 – Polish
    7: Glaze if needed
8: Megs Deep Crystal Step 3 – Wax
9: Top up every 2/3 weeks with MegsNXT Generation Spray Wax

Also need a good wheel wax
Thanx in advance for any advice Paul

I would swap 1 and 2 around. Also megs stage 2 is a glaze IIRC so no need to for another glaze as it's actually quite a good one and yes the stage 3 wax is pretty crap for durability, maybe 1-2 weeks max.

Other than that your set to go my friend

Looks about right to me although I've not used a tar remover so not sure where that fits in.

You're right about the step 3 wax. It's not very durable so if you can it's worth replacing. I use Colly 915 but Rushy was saying last night the he uses Megs #16 and I think his car is Star Silver.

Spray wax as a top up is fine.

TBH though if you've already bought the stuff I'd just go with what you have. The results will be spectacular and you can then review later anything you need to add or take out.

Mark wouldn't the cleaner take off the glaze? (Step 2 has fillers IIRC and is a pure polish)

If your buying online mate the combination of Megs #7 (glaze) and Megs #16 (Wax) works a treat on star silver. If you already have the stuff then go with what you have as 1 and 2 are good in there own right. Stage 3 is just very poor in the endurance front. You could go the other route as light silvers respond very well to Sealants like Jetseal but from what i've seen recently you would then need to drop the glaze stage. TBH, if your new to the Detailing game then the stuff you listed is perfect as its clear and easy to follow and learn the individual steps. HTH

I forgot to order the clay kit so I will ditch stage 3 and replace it with one of the above Colly 915 / Megs #16
