Talking FAO: VXR drivers with a sense of humour...

Well, it may be a bit of a risk reviving the old Petrol/Diesel subject, but I was quite impressed coming up the A9 in Scotland last weekend when I saw these figures on my computer...

And then looked at my fuel guage...

Question is - do I buy a 2.0 Turbo next...

Yeah, that's refuelling when the car had been running for an hour so was at peak economy, and being stuck on single carriageway behind trucks for the bits that weren't dual...

Not the most exciting drive if I'm being honest...

    BUt from a 165 bhp engine I can't complain...

I've got a picture on my phone of the computer on my 1.8 showing over 61 MPG I was taking it easy cos if was nearly empty, filled up and then did about 5 miles down hill. It started at 70 MPG, then stuck at 61 for ages LOL

I think the hills most have confused the poor thing

I have a lightly loaded hatchback and traffic in front of me...

Serisouly though, my average on the computer is about 50, which is about 46/48 on my spreadhseet calculations...

Also, my car's been well run in with 60K miles in the first two years...
