    Default advice re;mud flaps vectra c.

    hi all,
    i would like to fit mudflaps to my sri 06 plate vectra,and have them painted same as the car(silver lightening)i asked in my local vx dealer the other day and they said couldent paint them as they are not smooth,but i have seen loads of them colour coded on other vectra's,any advice would be great,thanks.

    do i need to prime them first,or rub them down,how many coats.

    Hi
    Firstly give them a good rub down get rid of most of the orange peel affect but dont use to course wet & dry, get along to your local Halfrauds and buy plastic primer ( your car being silver you'd be better using white ) if no white just use the red but i know they have both colours in my local Halfrauds, give them 2 coats rubbing first coat down with 440 grade wet & dry and the same with the second coat,do the same with your top coat ( silver) im not sure if you can buy that colour of paint without using clear laquer, 1 tin of each should be ample
