Looks like a rotory, which is for the experianced user, you would be best with an orbital polisher ... Rotorys are easy to damage the paint with if you do not know what you are doing .
hi
yep very good but get it from here

and these little ones from here

well worth it just tack your time and have fun
I have one of these
but is not too brite - the foam pad comes un-stuck and the ramdom orbit doesn't always work.
I was impressed at first - Before Pic (Daughters Corsa paintwork very dull and felt like 1000 grade wet'n'dry)
The After Pic - (smooth as glass, deep shine with only basic products - Car Plan T-Cut & Simonoiz Demon Shne)
Now that I have a large variety of Megs products - I was looking for a Polisher that lasts.
Part of our fleet.
Keep a check on your work is ok, but you are not going to see anything until it is too late !! Really would not recommend a rotary for a beginner, an orbital is much safer, with the rotary you risk striking through, particularly on edges which will heat quciker and may be thinner .... Not worth the risk imo ..
Those vehicles certainly look good, a credit to the owners.
I've thought about buying one of these poslishers myself in the past but always feared I would end up with swirly marks on paint work.
hi i understand your worries about damage to paintwork and a orbital are safer option for beginners.
but as long as you dont go above speed 1 and use a soft mop with a very light polish you should not do any damage.
most damaged is caused by exsesive pressure or holding it at an angle on the paint by trying to get quick fix but it all in the time taking.
very slow and steady is the answer with all machine polishing and using the right polish and cutting compounds and good quality mops.
but as you said the rotary is a bit more harsher then an orbital, so if in any doughts use an orbital one for the safer option.
