Default Yet another -- suspension crunches... :(

I see there's a lot of threads about this. Most get it sorted in warranty I see.
I'm out of warranty by 4 months, and my suspension sounds like a bag of spanners.
Is it a costly fix, and what is it likely to be that needs replacing?

Just had the front end apart in an attempt to find the cause of the ever present suspension knocking.....

I've taken off the drop links and checked the anti-roll bar bushes and as silly as it sounds I was gutted to find nothing wrong!.....

Springs are not broken, susp mod is fitted, drop links removed and checked for wear and anti-roll bar bushes inspected.....

I was hoping to find some wear somewhere which would give me some hope in fixing the fault, but nothing.....

My question to the guys that have changed their drop links and bushes and successfully cured the knocking is "how visible was the wear, or could you feel the wear in the components you changed?".....

When replaced my drop links and ARB bushes, the original ones while on the car looked fine with no play in the ARB that I could see/pry. But when removed the ARB bushes had a slightly oval hole instead of the proper round hole that the new ones have.

    Hope this helps,

    Tim

Thanks spuddevans, I figured this would probably be the case. I guess it takes nearly 2 tons of V6 diesel estate to show up the wear!
