I've had mine 4 about 14 months now,and it has'nt missed a beat.Get it BSR'd and it will change the car completely mate!As far as problems, the general thoughts of owners on this site i think, is the engine is 1 of the most reliable in the VX range!

Don't just think about it, do it. I was looking for a 2.2 when I found my 2.0T. Glad I didn't find a 2.2 first. The 2.2 is a good reliable motor, but the 2.0T really is something else, particularly with the BSR remap.

I had a 2.2 for 18 months and it was a lovely smooth car and I averaged 30mpg.

I then bought a 2.0 T with BSR stage 1 (on here, Mikey old car) and its a completely different beast. So much easier to drive with the massive amount of power and torque especially. But MPG is really bad, 25 maybe.

I do not owe a penny for the car and my insurance is next to nothing, so fuel is not really an issue for me, and we have a Vec b for running around in.

All in all the 2.0 T with BSR stage 1 is just great fun, so much power readilly available in 6 gears and pulls so easilly in low revs with all that torque.

And the turbo whistles lovely, twin pipes growl a nice note and it almost sounds like it has a dump valve but only on volume 1 rather than volume 10 on crap chavy cars.

Some people don't like dump valves 4 sum unknown reason, but they r not just 4 the sound, they do help the turbo, prevent stall, and when u see the standard crappy 1 u will see why its good 2 change it,especialy when running performance tuning upgrades i.e BSR!
