    Default Black tailpipes

    hi all just a quick question; i have black soot on my exhaust pipes and wondered what product would remove this to make them look like new? thanks in advance.

    Autosol and some fine grade wire wool.HTH

    cheers mate would the wire wool scratch the pipes? does anyone know of anything else to use?

    Only I use AG metal polish.

    other way round, before on left, after on right? or is it just my monitor? lol

    Trouble with mine being a diesel, they get so black soo quickly! I can never seem to get the last bit of though.

    You need a fine grade wire wool 00 or finer.

    I use Mothers Mag & Ally polish which i personally think out performs all others on the market, but it is expensive (unless like me you buy it in the USA ). So Autoglym or Autosol are cheaper alternatives.


    Have consideration for the deaf, if you're gunna fart, make it smell !

    Once they're clean then seal them,a wheel wax or a sealant should do the job.I did mine with opti-seal and all they need now is shampoo + water.
