    welcome aboard.

If you can find a 1.9CDTi 120 or 150 in your price range they're more powerful and more tunable...The 2.2DTi is a big of a pig to do anything much to.

And try to find an Elite trim, it comes with all the toys and you can sort out the suspension etc yourself

Put it this way, 100 bhp as standard, less than 200lb ft torque.... It won't win any traffic light grand prix. Plus, the pumps can be questionable to say the least.

Try for a later 1.9 if you have to go Diesel, if not, get a 2.2 Petrol.

And if you're going to be going down the modification route, there's only 1 tuning box that fits the 2.2DTi, it has to be hard wired, and the fuel pumps are decidedly iffy at the best of times. They're a pig to remap because of a hybrid ECU

The 1.9 have their own problems, but they're muh easier to mess about with!

Agreed, the cdti versions are better but on the rolling road day my 2.0dti came in at 107bhp and nearer to 300lb ft torque. Since the air box mod its been much better to drive.

Well i love my 2.2 DTi. Agree its a pig to get remapped and the best one i have found is in germany!! But i love the car. Just a quick question tho... Would it be possible to get a cdti fuel pump on a dti?
